Looking put together after a weekend workout or yoga session isn’t always easy. But since I often motor through the rest of my errands afterwards, I make a concerted effort to at least look presentable.
The beauty shortcuts below have served me well, so I thought I’d share them with you!
I do hope you are making time for physical activity because it is one of the kindest things you can do for your body, mind and spirit.
Xoxo and enjoy the fitsirpation!
Start with a Well Planned Wardrobe
Looking pulled together is super simple if you focus on organizing your workout wardrobe to include mix and match pieces that really fit one another in terms of color and fabric.
I’ve found that the easiest way to do this is to stick to one or two workout clothing brands. I really like C9 by champion, which is a budget-friendly brand available at Target. The quality is pretty good and the value is incredible. The mix and match pieces go together effortlessly.
For investment pieces, you can’t go wrong with lululemon. A few core pieces will outlast other brands, making it worth the extra money. And if you literally live in your workout gear on weekends, lululemon might be worth the extra money.
Embrace BB Creams
A great BB cream is ideal for any day of the week, but these creams are a particularly nice option post workout to even out skin tone. I really like the tinted beauty balm from Two Faced below. You’ll find it on Sephora here.
I carry a travel-sized bottle of Cetaphil face cleanser with me when I go to the gym so I can wash my face after the workout prior to applying my BB cream. And of course, I reapply my favorite sunscreen before adding the BB cream.
Freshen Up Fast
I always reserve heavy cardio days that leave me too grimy to be seen in public post-workout for those days when I know that I’m going directly home after the gym. On lighter workout days, I’m able to freshen up quickly with Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes. They leave your skin fresh and revitalized all over.
Style Hair into a Chic Knot
I’ve tried dry shampoos to no avail. Instead, I found a “do” that really works after a workout. It’s called the Parisian Top Knot. Not only is it stylish, it seems to work best with hair that hasn’t been recently washed. Watch this video to learn how to create this look!
